Hello everyone!
This time, as usual, I have good news for you: the Ironclad Lite is back for another batch.
This product depends on a competitive price to make sense, as it’s the most affordable option for building your MiSTer in Mini-ITX form factor with the highest quality and all the possibilities the platform offers. To achieve a competitive price, factory orders require a certain minimum quantity. Thanks to the people who signed up, the estimates have been met, the waitlist is huge, to make another batch of this wonderful and affordable product.
It will be available TOMORROW, June 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM GMT, and is batch 3. Estimated shipping dates will be August – September in order of purchase, I will do my best to ship them ASAP, but you know… in August nothing works as it should. Go to the shop to subscribe or purchase here /product/mini-itx_ironclad_lite/
A new feature compared to previous batches is that the Base Kit is now compatible with DE10-nano and Mister Pi, as an adapter for the two different types of USB input ports and a different bridge cable are included. This has increased the price by €5, from €120 to €125, but I’m doing this because, according to sales data, the number of people using DE10-nano and Mister Pi far outnumbers those using QMTECH boards. This way, most people are better served, and those using Mister Pi don’t have to pay for extra parts for QMTECH as it was happening before. For people using QMTECH boards, an additional ribbon cable is available for purchase as an option for just €5 extra.
That cable is a standard ribbon cable with 2×20-pin IDC connectors, 5cm long, and a direct connection. I make them by hand, and if you need one in the future, you can order one from me or make one yourself with widely available parts.
Since I’m writing this, I’d also like to give you a quick update on Ironclad DX batch 2. The news is that… there’s not much to say, production is progressing well without issues, all the parts are available, and I’ll probably receive what’s missing next week, so shipping will begin during the month of July, as announced, after the manual assembly process I have to do with all this mountain of stuff I’m getting…
Thank you all very much for your support, I hope to see you tomorrow at 5:00 PM GMT!
